Cursed Sword 5e Dmg
The 'Guilt Trip Sword' was a randomly generated +1 Longsword stolen by my players in the playtest. Converted to final 5E, it's a simpleminded +1 sentient Longsword with the Conscientious property and Muttering Quirk. The sword constantly second-guesses the wielder's intentions, and whines loudly whenever an evil act is committed. Whenever the sword strikes something, or is struck, its bearer hears a fragment of an ancient song, and its magical effects only function if fresh blood - just a drop - from a humanoid has been applied to it within the last 24 hours. Four rolls, and that random +1 sword is now much more interesting.

In response to a question on Twitter, Jeremy Crawford points out that the DMG (PRINTED VERSION) is correct and the SRD is wrong.
I paid for the 5e DMG in Fantasy Grounds and told it to show me the DMG objects and instead of using the verbiage in my printed DMG, it shows the erroneous information in the SRD.
I checked and the SRD I downloaded in 2018 shows the 4d6 instead of a straight +14 damage to creatures.

Since Jeremy Crawford indicated the correct answer, please fix the 5e DMG for swords of Sharpness.
